“To all the pregnant ladies out there, let me tell you that 7 months ago, I gave birth to my little girl and thankfully Ellen was the doula present at my daughter's birth. I am a single woman and knew I wouldn't have anyone that I could count on 100% to be there when the time came. Ellen did an outstanding job. She was ready for my call and came as soon as I needed her. Being that this was my first birth, I didn't really know what to expect but because I was not alone I felt comfortable that everything would go smoothly. She did everything that I could have hoped someone in her position would do and by that, I mean I really didn't know she was there until I needed something. And I never needed to ask, she just gently offered always at the appropriate moments, whether it be ice chips or a gentle sacral massage while I was contracting.
